Former favourite Stephen Webb has received a flood of good wishes as he embarks on an adventure to Mumbai. The sofa-based critic, who gained fame on the hit show and was part of the original cast since it began, became a firm fan favourite before his exit from the programme in 2023.
Stephen gave his followers a glimpse into his journey via . The 53 year old uploaded a clip showing his plane’s takeoff followed by a selfie with a drink, celebrating the start of his holiday.
He captioned the footage: “8 hours outbound, 5 hours sleep, 30 mins treadmill = the rest of the day by the pool @_sohohousemumbai_”.
Supportive fans filled the comment section with heartfelt messages. One fan wrote “Have a fantastic time” while another shared “Have a wonderful time.”
A third added a hint of humour with “Have fun, I’m coming with you on your next trip,” reports .

Throughout his tenure on Gogglebox, audiences saw Stephen critique TV shows with various companions including his ex-husband Daniel Lustig, his mother Pat, and his pal Chris Butland-Steed.
On his departure from the couch commentary gig, which preceded a stint on Dancing on Ice last year, Stephen stated: “it’s time to move on and see what else is out there”.
Stephen and Daniel Lustig went their separate ways in 2024.
In a poignant post dated January 27, Stephen paid homage to his late mother on the anniversary of her passing.
Mourning her absence, he expressed: “One year since mummy Pat passed, miss your laughter, your no nonsense advice. The only person who could make me [crying laughing emoji]. Miss ya mum.”
In a heartfelt homage to his mother in 2023, Stephen penned: “Mummy Pat, you were one in a million, took everyone at face value, would share your last fiver with a stranger, the salt of the earth and the absolute centre of our world! Rest in peace mum.”
