Luke Littler is being honoured by Warrington Wolves.
Luke Littler’s hometown rugby club Warrington Wolves will honour the 18-year-old darts sensation by renaming their stadium for this month’s Super League opener. The Wire will switch out The Halliwell Jones Stadium for The Luke Littler Stadium when Catalan Dragons visit on Friday, February 21.
Littler etched his name into darts folklore at the start of 2025 by thrashing Michael van Gerwen 7-3 to win the PDC World Championship.
At 17 years and 347 days old, he became the youngest-ever winner of the sport’s biggest prize, having fallen short against Luke Humphries in the 2024 final at the end of a magical debut run.
Littler has made no secret of his love for Warrington Wolves on social media during his meteoric rise to stardom.
The Nuke is a lifelong fan of the Super League outfit and a South Stand member, but he’ll also be the guest of honour for the season curtain-raiser.
He will lead the hosts out against Catalan Dragons and showcase the Sid Waddell trophy around the pitch at half-time.
“It’s a dream come true that the club I’ve been a fan of since I was young has decided to name the stadium after me for a night. It’s an absolute honour, and I can’t thank the club enough,” Littler reacted.

“He’s a true Warrington fan, and therefore, renaming our stadium in his honour for our home opener is a fitting tribute.
“We invite the whole town to join us on February 21st and make it a night to remember.
“A big thank you to Halliwell Jones and Warrington Borough Council for their support in making this happen.”

Littler was also honoured by his beloved football club Manchester United last month and paraded his trophy to the 75,000 fans in attendance at Old Trafford.
The result – a 3-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion – was less celebratory.
In an interview on Sky Sports, Fitzpatrick added: “Absolutely, [he’s] Warrington’s favourite son. This idea came about… it was actually one of your colleagues, my good friend Brian Carney, who’s a commentator at Sky.
“We were chatting about how we can recognise Luke’s incredible achievements and really celebrate the homecoming of the world champion.
“You know what? How about we name the stadium after him? So, The Halliwell Jones Stadium, for one night only on February 21 against Catalan Dragons, is going to be known as The Luke Littler Stadium.”
