ITV Emmerdale’s Will Ash injured in real life as huge crash rocks village

A chilling accident is set to send shockwaves through Emmerdale next week, as Caleb Miligan uncovers a harrowing revelation.

Having initially ruffled feathers in the Dingle clan upon his mysterious arrival several Christmases ago, Caleb concealed a vendetta against to avenge his father Frank Tate’s demise.

Fast forward a few months, and he appears comfortably enmeshed with ‘s most notorious household.

In an unsettling episode airing on Wednesday, Caleb discovers the devastating secret of Cain’s covert affair with his wife Ruby Fox-Miligan, leading to dire consequences.

Actor Will Ash, who brings Caleb to life on screen, disclosed that the ensuing conflict spirals out of control.

He said: “It sets off something in him. He can be quite calculated and quite measured, but when it comes to this, he can’t contain his rage. It kicks off massively. I hurt myself filming it. I was hitting a bag and was going for it and I managed to hurt myself but I didn’t have to go to hospital.”

The soap is gearing up for monumental drama with two limousine crashes slated to threaten numerous beloved villagers next week. Amidst Liam’s grand designs to use a raffle prize limo for an opulent proposal to Chas, his plans crumble when Kerry beats him to the punch, reports

He may have been determined not to propose to Chas, yet he managed to secure another limo. When Kerry suggests the girls enjoy a night out and Liam plans a boys’ night with the hope of meeting Chas to proceed with his proposal, chaos ensues.

Charity and Caleb take on driving duties, but disaster strikes as both limousines are involved in separate accidents, swerving off the road; tragically, one nosedive onto a frozen lake.

Recollecting the filming of these gripping moments, Will shared, “This incredible icy lake was made out of wax. It was a cold frosty night and you’ve got this huge limousine sunk into it. When you’re walking on the wax, it felt like ice and you worried you were going to fall in.

“Everyone was walking so carefully. They had this huge crane because they had to lower the limo into this hole they had made because it wasn’t allowed to sit in the wax. It was pretty spectacular!”

Meanwhile, Will’s real-life rapport with Jeff Hordley couldn’t be stronger: “I’ve known Jeff for 35 years so to get to work with him and play his brother has been a great thing. We used to do plays together when we were just starting out. It feels very brotherly, it’s very easy.”

The Dingle clan from isn’t just a close-knit family on-screen; they’ve got their own WhatsApp group to boot, though its contents are hush-hush!

“When Lydia had been raped and Craig murdered, there was a week where we were all in the Woolpack together trying to find out who killed him and the WhatsApp group came from that,” Will revealed revealed.

Off screen, Caleb’s concern for his wife Ruby has taken centre stage.

After revealing that Ruby was the true culprit behind her abusive father Anthony Fox’s death, Will, who portrays Caleb, disclosed that his character would go to extreme lengths to protect his wife: “He’d put his life on the line for her and to keep the secret from Steph. It’s too painful for that to get out.

“It’s painful enough for Caleb and Ruby. They’re just papering over the cracks. It’s inevitable that it’s going to get out,” he confided.

Will expressed his desire for the family dynamics to further evolve with the return of Nicky, played by Lewis Cope: “I’d love for Lewis to come back. I didn’t want him to go. Nicky would find out about Ruby and grandad and it all makes sense to him why Steph was sent away, the family dynamic would be really interesting if he was to come back.”

As a fatal accident is on the horizon and the truth about Anthony’s actual murderer is about to be revealed, could Caleb’s time in the village be running out?

“It’s been a gift to do such big scenes. They’re dark subjects but you’ve got to embrace the darkness of it. They’re really challenging but you want to get them right,” says Will.

Regardless of what lies ahead for Caleb and his family, their journey could abruptly end when disaster strikes next week.
