Eva McConvile was deeply self-conscious about her body
Like many women worldwide, Eva McConvile was plagued by insecurities about her body – particularly her flat chest. The 38-year-old mother-of-one had always felt uncomfortable in her own skin, resorting to padded bras and silicone fillets to create the illusion of a fuller figure.
Her body image issues were so severe that she even declined family holidays for fear of donning a bikini. Eva said: “It definitely made me feel less womanly. It’s impacted me for a long time, I just didn’t want to go on family holidays. I was very self-conscious of it.”
She recalled tearful moments in her bedroom, dreading the thought of going on holiday with her siblings.
After years of battling her insecurities, Eva, from Liverpool, underwent breast augmentation surgery at Manchester Private Hospital in October 2023. Despite the hefty £7,000 price tag, Eva insists it was worth every penny.

Eva McConvile says the op changed her life
“I had nothing at all,” she admitted. “I finally got the money to get it done and it’s just changed my life completely,” reports MEN. “I couldn’t wear certain clothes because of it. [I had been] saving for a long time, years. My mum helped me out with some of the money.
“Before the surgery, they gave me the clothes I had to put on and talked me through the procedure. I went under and I came out.
“It was a bit painful afterwards but it was well worth it. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done in my life.
“Recovery wasn’t too bad; the first few days were uncomfortable if you were laying down to sit up. It wasn’t too bad. I would definitely go and get it done again.”
Eva is now urging others not to judge those who have chosen to have cosmetic surgery to feel happier in their own skin.
Eva said she went from a AA to DD: “I’m able to wear the clothes I want, it’s absolutely amazing. It’s taken my confidence right through the roof. It was well worth the money.
“I would tell anyone it’s worth getting it done if it makes you feel better. It was the best thing I’ve had done; I wish I done it sooner.
“If it makes you feel better and more confident, don’t worry what other people think of you getting surgery.”
