The January transfer window has closed for clubs and those in 12 other countries, dashing hopes of recruiting much-needed further reinforcements. However, could continue to shape his squad this week, considering the market is still active in several other parts of the world.

Lecce left-wing-back Patrick Dorgu has joined in a deal worth £29million alongside centre-back Ayden Heaven.

And there is a conspicuous lack of quality on the free agent market to suggest that United will add to Amorim’s squad before the summer.

But the Red Devils can continue their efforts to boost their budget by offloading more players after Antony and Marcus Rashford.

Express Sport looks at four stars who could still leave Old Trafford this month despite the closing of the British transfer window.

Victor Lindelof

Victor Lindelof is widely expected to leave United as a free agent once his contract expires at the end of the season.

But the club would likely be interested in offloading him for a fee – no matter how small – this month if an interested party emerges.

Lindelof is as low as sixth in Amorim’s centre-back pecking order, and that excludes the likes of Noussair Mazraoui and Luke Shaw, who can also cover.

Tyrell Malacia

United have been actively trying to seal a loan move for Tyrell Malacia since Dorgu’s arrival last week, but nothing has come to fruition yet.

The 25-year-old has had interest from Celtic, Real Betis and Benfica, yet he looks set to remain in Amorim’s squad beyond the UK deadline.

Could a return to the Netherlands be an option? There would be one extra day to orchestrate that outcome.

Casemiro

Casemiro is another player whom United have been attempting to shift, given that he has plummetted down the midfield pecking order under Amorim.

The 32-year-old earns a staggering £350,000 per week but is behind Manuel Ugarte, Kobbie Mainoo, , Christian Eriksen, Mason Mount and Toby Collyer in the ranks.

Turkey has been mooted as a potential destination, with the Saudi Arabian window already closed.

Christian Eriksen

Like Lindelof, Eriksen is out of contract at the end of the season and is primed to depart as a free agent.

However, if the opportunity to pocket any fee for the Danish playmaker arises in the coming days, United would surely take it.

Eriksen has previous experience playing in the Netherlands, while Turkish clubs have proved to be partial to an ex- player.
