The fallout from Anthony Fox’s (played by Nicholas Day) death continues to unravel as (Jeff Hordley) finds himself under arrest for the elderly man’s disappearance, much to the fury of Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay).
She’s incensed that her parents Caleb (William Ash) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly) are defending Cain. Meanwhile, a terrifying car crash threatens the lives of several villagers.
A flashforward reveals many in peril – will anyone escape unscathed or will the Dales be forever altered?
Here are the top spoilers for the upcoming week.
The tumultuous week begins with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) attempting to win a limo ride in a raffle, part of his grand scheme to propose to Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).
Emmerdale is set to air a terrifying crash leaving lives at risk
Liam is relieved when Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) gives him his blessing to marry his mother, but his joy is short-lived when he fails to secure the prize.
Undeterred, Liam pleads with Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) to find another limo for him after Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) wins the prize.
However, Liam’s plans hit another snag when Chas, along with the other women, enjoy a night out in the limo with Kerry.
To conceal his original proposal plan, Liam organises a boys’ outing in his limo, and soon both groups set off – only for their fun evening to turn into a nightmare.
Caleb is tasked with driving the limo
When the limousine drivers fail to show up, (Emma Atkins) and Caleb step in as chauffeurs for the day, while Liam secretly plans his grand proposal.
Chaos quickly ensues in one limo, while an argument erupts in the second, leading both drivers to be distracted and swerve in separate incidents.
One limo crashes into a frozen lake, and as the ice begins to crack, it’s clear that those inside are in grave danger. But who will make it out alive?
Meanwhile, sibling rivalry is set to escalate next week when brothers Caleb and Cain confront each other.
The men enjoy a boys night out before disaster trikes
As regular viewers of the ITV soap will recall, Anthony had informed Caleb about Cain and Ruby’s secret affair. Caleb’s confusion intensifies when he realises that the morning-after pill he recently found at home couldn’t have belonged to his daughter Steph.
The situation escalates when Steph mentions witnessing an awkward exchange between Cain and Ruby. Caleb struggles to contain his anger towards his brother, clearly seeking revenge.
Before the villagers depart in the limos, Caleb tries to avoid Cain. However, at one point, Cain is arrested for Anthony’s disappearance, leaving Steph furious with her uncle.
Next week, Joe Tate’s (Ned Porteous) secret may be exposed as he raises suspicion. Despite confessing to a painkiller addiction and pursuing a relationship with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), Joe has been trying to bond with his half-brother Noah Dingle (Jack Downham).
The women have a girls night out before there is a crash
However, Charity and (Claire King) are onto him. After discovering that Kim has bugged his room, Joe fakes a positive family phone call.
When Noah rejects the move to Dubai, he is taken aback by his brother’s reaction and is further irritated when his tools go missing. As Dawn turns against Joe, Charity and Noah confront him about the stolen tools.
Cain intervenes and threatens Joe, but a mysterious phone call regarding Noah soon follows.
In other news, Moira (Natalie J Robb) is shocked when a chunk of her hair falls out and insists on being left alone by Cain. This leads to Cain confiding in Charity and Lydia (Karen Blick) about his situation with Moira.
Will his attempts to cheer her up succeed?
Elsewhere in the village, Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) and son Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) have a disagreement, while Amy (Kyle Winchester) and Matty’s (Ash Palmisciano) meeting with a social worker doesn’t go as planned as they prepare to start a family together.
