The acclaimed crime series concludes its 28th run this week, launching the penultimate chapter I Believe in Love on Monday (February 3) evening.
The latest heart-stopping episode opened with tragedy striking at a Syrian pizza restaurant, where six lives were claimed in a shooting.
Emilia Fox’s character Nikki Alexander, alongside David Caves’ Jack Hodgson, is promptly assigned the task of tracking down the assailant before further carnage ensues.
A breakthrough appears when CCTV reveals a potential perpetrator; however, the individual is discovered deceased, an apparent suicide, executed with the identical distinctive ammunition as that used in the ruthless shooting.
