boss has been told his job is on the line following his decision to . The England winger completed his medical with Villa on Sunday, with the West Midlands giants being handed the option to sign the player permanently in the summer.
Rashford scored United’s first goal of the Amorim era when he found the back of the net in a 1-1 draw with Ipswich at the end of November.
He scored a brace in a 4-0 thumping of Everton a week later as the Red Devils appeared to be on an upward trajectory under the guidance of their Portuguese manager.
Rashford soon fell out of favour with Amorim, however, as he was dropped to the bench for the trip to in early December.
The 27-year-old was then left out of United’s squad for their visit to 10 days before Christmas and hasn’t seen any action for the Red Devils since.
He will now attempt to resurrect his career at Villa Park, where he will be able to feature in the Champions League once again.
And former attacker thinks Amorim could face the sack at Old Trafford if Rashford kicks on under Unai Emery.

“For me – and this is why the game is a bit different when you’re at big clubs like this – Man United should go and get the lad who played yesterday, Mateta at Palace,” he added. “That’s what they need. They need a big, strong lad up front who’s playing at the top of his game.
“He leads the line, he’s a handful, he’s scoring goals now. He runs, he works his socks off as hard as any other player you know.
“But they won’t because he plays for Palace and everybody will go, ‘What are you buying him for, he plays for Palace.’ But he’s 100 times better than all the players they’ve got at Man United in the front line.”
