Mathys Tel has decided that he wants to join just days after rejecting a move to north London, according to reports.

The unsettled Bayern Munich forward was linked with Spurs last week but turned down the opportunity to join ‘s side.

It led to speculation that he could end up at or , with both clubs said to have explored the idea of snapping him up.

However, a late twist on deadline day has seen Tel go back on his decision to reject . He is on his way to England to finalise a move to Spurs before the January window closes, according to .

The versatile attacker is said to have changed his mind, with adding that he will join on a straight loan until the end of the season. They are expected to cover his full salary until the deal expires in June.

There is no purchase clause included in the agreement, meaning Tel will return to Bayern Munich in the summer regardless of how he gets on at .

Last week, it was reported that Daniel Levy had travelled to Germany in order to lead negotiations with Tel. It seemed the deal was off when the player decided to reject ‘s advances, but he is now said to have given the green light.

He will be hoping for a productive loan spell at Spurs, who are in desperate need of some additional quality having won just eight games all season.
