has bid farewell to its third celebrity contestant, as Olympic rowing hero Steve Redgrave was voted off the ice-dance extravaganza. Partnered with Vicky Ogden, the sporting legend had found the icy challenge tough from the start.
At 62, Steve faced off against ‘s Sam Aston in the bottom two after a slip-up in his Sunday night performance. In a twist that sparked controversy, there was no skate-off; instead, the judges’ scores combined with public votes determined the immediate exit of the lowest-scoring celebrity.
A succinct Steve expressed his thoughts to presenters and , who were ‘gutted’ at his departure from the ITV spectacle.
He made a brief five-word comment, saying: “I haven’t enjoyed the falling over”, but added: “It’s been absolutely amazing, and this lady [referring to partner Vicky] has been incredible.”

Chelsee Healey, known for her roles in Waterloo Road and Hollyoaks, was the first celebrity to be shown the door in the 17th series of Dancing on Ice. She made her exit in the second week (January 19), as the initial performances were spread over two weekends.
Comedian Josh Jones had to bow out of the competition due to an injury. Despite this unexpected withdrawal in the third week, the ITV show still proceeded with an elimination.
TV star Ferne McCann was given her marching orders on January 26.
