The presenter, who announced her , shared her thoughts on plastic surgery in a recent interview with womanandhome. The 64-year-old was prompted to consider it after receiving negative comments on social media about her appearance.
She recalled: “A man put on a social media post recently, “Ruth’s really looking her age these days. ” I had a little jolt and thought, “What, because I’ve got a few lines?
“I’m nearly 65. What am I supposed to look like?”‘
Ruth admitted to having vain moments, saying: “Sometimes I’ll take a selfie and I’ll look at myself and go, ‘That looks terrible. I’m not posting that.’ There’s a vanity there. Listen, every time I see myself on camera, I think, ‘I’d like to get my neck done.’ It’s all I see. Something about your neck suddenly goes, and it’s really ageing.”

After taking a brief break from Loose Women following the split, Ruth has returned to the ITV show and has been enjoying nights out with friends, including Vanessa Feltz, Linda Robson, and Rylan Clark. Meanwhile, Eamonn has gone public with his new relationship with dating counsellor Katie Alexander, 43.
The former This Morning host opened up about her potential surgery plans, stating that she would never go for injectables or fillers, but might consider a neck lift or chin lift. “By the time I’m 68, I might not be able to stand it any more,” she admitted.
Ruth acknowledged her weight loss following her split from Holmes, hinting that the divorce may have contributed to her changed appearance.

She revealed: “I have lost weight. Divorce obviously has something to do with it but I also went for a hormone check and rebalance, which helped.
“It could also hopefully mean that I’m coming to the end of menopause. ” At the time of their separation, a spokesperson for the couple announced that they had “confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing” and that they were “determined to stay friends and keep things amicable”.
The pair began their journey as hosts of ITV’s daytime show This Morning in 2006, before stepping down in 2021 and passing the baton to Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond.
