A woman who used to live in an abandoned building documented something very creepy as she wandered around her unusual home.

producer Aisha Barratt, based in , formerly lived in an abandoned hospital in a bid to escape the hefty rent prices in the city. She did this by becoming a guardian – which allows a person to live in a property at an affordable price to make sure it is maintained and looked after while it is vacant.

During her time in the abandoned , where she lived alongside more than 100 other tenants, she once stumbled across a corridor filled with padlocked doors. Aisha suspected this to be the hospital’s morgue.

The TV producer, known for Celebrity Coach Trip, The Fortune Hotel and The Great British Baking Show, posted a video on walking down the corridor and passing door after door secured with a padlock. She wrote: “Pov: Finding the morgue in the abandoned hospital I live in” as the on-screen text for her video.

Speaking in the clip, she said: “This is the morgue. People do ask me about this all the time so this is the morgue.”

Pointing the camera towards the padlocks on the doors she added: “As you can see, they’ve got these on them. I didn’t know originally what these were but that’s what someone told me in the comments.”

Aisha walked all the way down the corridor and admitted she has “never come here” before coming across another corridor but this one was blocked off by a wooden pane.

A poster was stuck on it, and warned “no unauthorised persons allowed beyond this point”, adding to the scare factor. Retreating from the corridor she concluded: “It’s creepy, might be a little bit too creepy for me this part but people always ask ‘where’s the morgue?, where’s the morgue?’ and I think I finally found it.

“Don’t ask me to go there again. I don’t want to get possessed.” Aisha sarcastically captioned her video: “A corridor filled with padlocked doors in the suspected morgue area of the abandoned hospital I live in? That’s ok, that’s so fine.”

A hospital morgue is a place where people who have passed away are kept until they can be identified, buried or cremated. Morgues are also used for autopsies to determine a person’s cause of death.

It has garnered 743,000 views, 38,000 likes and more than 300 comments. One user claimed they saw a frightening sight as Aisha explored the corridor: “There is a face peering at you through the glass in the door by the morgue area.”

It seems someone else noticed this as a different user asked: “Is that your reflection in the door when you are standing at the plywood?” Aisha replied to this comment: “I’m gonna say yes and hope with all my heart.”

Other users thought they saw something spooky as one asked: “What was that moment in the hallway?” and another added “what was the lump on the floor?”.

Another user said they would be “worried in case there was still bodies in there” but Aisha said that this “would simply never happen.” Also, someone who works in a morgue commented: “As someone who routinely goes to the morgue for my job it’s rly not that exciting.”

To this, Aisha responded: “I would agree! And if people used logic, they’d know there won’t just be bodies in there, that would be insane levels of disrespectful.”
