Lily Collins and husband Charlie McDowell are now a family of three.
The “Emily in Paris” star and the filmmaker announced that they welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, with the help of a surrogate. In a joint Instagram post, the couple introduced their newborn, whom they named Tove Jane McDowell.
“Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell. Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way,” the Jan. 31 message reads. “We love you to the moon and back again…”
The post is filled with congratulatory messages from friends and fans, including Collins’ “Emily in Paris” co-star Ashley Park.
“Mom and dadddddd ❤️❤️❤️❤️” Park wrote.
Collins and McDowell went Instagram official in August 2019. They got engaged in September of 2020.
“The purest joy I’ve ever felt…” the actor and daughter of Phil Collins and Jill Tavelman captioned her post at the time.
A year later, the pair got married in Dunton, Colorado, and both shared photos from their stunning wedding on their social media.
“I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife. On September 4th, 2021 we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell…,” Collins wrote alongside a photo from their special day.
McDowell, whose parents are actors Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen, added in his own post, “I married the most generous, thoughtful, and beautiful person I’ve ever known. I love you @lilyjcollins.”
The couple has previously worked together on “Gilded Rage,” and “Windfall.”
In a Sunday TODAY interview with Willie Geist, Collins recalled working with her then-fiancé on “Windfall.”
“There were moments when I completely forgot that he was my husband-to-be and he was just my director, she said, calling it “awesome.” “We worked really well together.”
