Mathys Tel has reportedly made a final decision on joining or after rejecting a move to from
Spurs had reached an agreement with their German counterparts , granting them permission to discuss a deal with Tel’s representatives.
But the 19-year-old now looks set to stay in Munich until the summer after to join ‘s side this month.
report Tel ‘indicated’ to Spurs that he wants to remain with his current club before assessing his future again in the summer transfer window.
It also claimed that they had agreed terms with the player and his agent – before Tel pulled a U-turn and changed his mind.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is said to have flown to Germany to personally oversee the deal, only for Tel’s big-money move to collapse.
Reports in France had suggested that Tel had only turned down a move to north London and was still locked in talks with other clubs – rumoured to be , Aston Villa, and .
However, it now appears that the youngster has reached a final decision over his future and will be staying in Germany for the foreseeable future.

It comes just two days after Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund admitted Tel could depart the club in the days leading up to the transfer deadline.
“He’s simply a really good player. Great potential, a really good guy,” Freund said. “We’ve always said he’s a very exciting player for us, a really good talent, but he hasn’t had enough playing time lately.”
“You can never rule anything out 100 per cent, and the fact is that the last few weeks haven’t been easy for him. That’s something we’ve discussed repeatedly.“
When asked if playing him against Slovan Bratislava could affect his future, Freund said: “No, it has nothing to do with that, as Vincent said yesterday. I said it, too, and so did Max (Eberl). We are in constant communication with Mathys and his agent.“

If Tel does stay in Germany, it leaves the quintet scrambling to make late signings elsewhere with only three days left until the February 3 deadline.
United may be looking to sign a replacement for both Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, with the former in talks over a loan move to Aston Villa.
Garnacho has been strongly linked with , although United are reluctant to sell the 20-year-old winger to their rivals for anything under £70m.
, meanwhile, are still trying to sign a new striker for , who has been frustrated in his attempts to recruit a No. 9 after seeing a bid rejected for Ollie Watkins.
