Princess Kate was praised by parents for her visit to a children’s hospice
The parents of a child who met at a hospice yesterday have revealed what the Princess of Wales was really like away from the cameras.
The future Queen, 43, on January 30 as it was announced she had become patron.
During her visit, the princess spent time with children with life-limiting illnesses including Felix Forbes, 12, who has the neurological disorder Miller-Dieker Syndrome, which impacts brain development.
As well as spending time with Felix, Kate also met his parents Alex and Dan Forbes, along with Felix’s younger sisters Lottie, 10, and Maggie, 4.
, Felix’s parents revealed how kind the princess was when interacting with the children, especially with Lottie and Maggie, as she joined them in taking part in hand painting.

Felix’s dad Dan also revealed that one thing that really stood out about the future Queen was how it was just like speaking to a mum. : “It feels like you are speaking to a mom, first and foremost.”
Felix’s mum Alex said: “It was really warming and easy. You can tell she is a mom. It was easy to see in the way she was so engaging with the girls. She was lovely. She got Lottie to come in and asked, ‘Do you want to paint my hand?’ ”
Dan continued: “It feels like you are speaking to a mom, first and foremost.
“She will bring awareness to what this place does. We would be ignorant to what it was if we didn’t use it. It has been a massive support for us.”

Kate was also announced as patron of the hospice
As a mum herself, Princess Kate couldn’t help but mention her own three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, on the visit.

She could be heard saying: “Is it ticklish? My kiddies would love this if I went back and did this with them today.”
After visiting the hospice, Princess Kate also made a second surprise visit in Wales a textile manufacturer in South Wales.
