apologised for his “inappropriate actions” on the tour and decided to step back from his public duties to “prioritise his wellbeing”.

It was announced this week that the Go Compare star had stepped back from his Radio Wales show.

He stepped down from the Strictly tour on Tuesday following his remark to Janette Manrara about a “spit roast”.

CEO Edward Coram-James has suggested Wynne’s future at the is potentially in doubt following the latest scandal.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the expert, who specialises in PR and crisis management, admitted his departure is “telling”.

Edward explained: “The fact that Wynne has taken time out is telling. In crisis comms, a voluntary step back is often a way to test public reaction before a final decision is made. If this had blown over quickly? He might have been able to return quietly.

“This isn’t just about PR — it’s about standards in the workplace. A Strictly tour is still a professional environment, and if you make a sexualised remark to a female colleague, there should be consequences. The fact that Katya Jones is still supporting him suggests it wasn’t as toxic as some scandals, but that doesn’t mean it was okay.

He might come back, but not anytime soon. The will wait for the noise to die down. If he’s lucky, he gets a low-key return to radio in a few months. If not, he’ll quietly fade into the background.”

Wynne spoke out on Tuesday and issued a statement confirming he was stepping back from his radio show and from the Strictly Live tour.

He said: “I’ve agreed with the that l’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing.

“I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection.

“Apologies to those I won’t get to see at the remaining performances and I’m grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support they have given me.”

It followed an incident early in last year’s series when he was criticised for placing his hand on dance partner Katya Jones’ midriff before she quickly removed it – though both insist there was no issue.
