While the Princess of Wales, 43, was playing and speaking to children having end-of-life care at Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice in Wales on Thursday, she mentioned how George, 11, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, six, would enjoy one of the activities they were doing.

As she was painting the hand of a young girl to create a handprint on paper, Kate told the child that her “kiddies” would love to do this at home.

The future Queen could be heard saying: “Is it ticklish? My kiddies would love this if I went back and did this with them today.”

The princess not only painted the hand of the young girl, but she also had her own hand painted and left a handprint of her own, signing the paper with her name.

George, Charlotte and Louis’s love for hand painting had become apparent two years ago.

Just days after King Charles’ Coronation in 2023, Kate and and took part in various activities, including archery and roasting marshmallows.

The children were also excited during this visit as they had the opportunity to paint their hands and leave handprints on the wall, something all three of them seemed thrilled to be doing, as shown in videos taken at the time.

That marked one of the very few public engagements the three children have done so far together besides big royal events.

As well as visiting the children’s hospice in Wales today, Princess Kate also called Corgi, where she tried making a pair of socks.

During her tour of the business by owners Chris Jones, 56, and his sister, Lisa Wood, 55, Kate learnt about the process of making socks from the initial design stage to the final part that involves sealing the toe onto the rest of the garment.

The future Queen joked she was “terrible” as she tried to make a sock, claiming it was not her “forte”.
