is on the right path to becoming a legend like and , according to Federer’s former agent Tony Godsick.

Sinner clinched his third Grand Slam title with a straight-sets victory over in last weekend’s final. And at 23 years old, he has plenty of time to add to that tally and begin clawing his way up the all-time rankings.

Godsick feels Sinner has some way to go before reaching the levels of global stardom Federer, Nadal or have enjoyed. But the Italian is showing signs that he could follow in their footsteps due to his behaviour on and off the court.

“He is serious, very professional, behaves well on court and does not do stupid things off it,” . “In this he reminds me of Roger.

“At the moment, as a global star, he cannot replace Federer or Nadal. But he is loved by the people, he plays a type of tennis that I like a lot and he knows how to give his best in the moments that matter. I don’t know if he can become a legend like Roger or Rafa, but he is on the right path.”

With Nadal, Federer and now retired, and Djokovic winding down his tournament commitments, Sinner has established himself as the dominant force in men’s tennis over the past 12 months.
