Jennifer Rodriguez, chief hygiene officer at Pro Housekeepers, told that to banish any grime in your microwave all you need is a clean sponge and “nuke” it.
Simply place a clean, damp sponge – or a cloth – on the microwave tray and switch the appliance on high for two minutes.
This can help soften bits of food and grime that’s stuck to the inside of your microwave.
Once the microwave has cooled down, you can wipe away any grime with the sponge from the microwave’s interior.
Jennifer said: “This will kill bacteria. Then use a sponge or cloth to wipe down the microwave.”
