have reportedly registered their interest in forward Yoane Wissa. The DR Congo international has been a revelation for the Bees this season, scoring 11 goals in 19 appearances.

His form has seen him linked with a host of clubs, during the January transfer window.

That offer was rejected though, with Bees manager publicly insisting the 28-year-old was not for sale.

But according to French media outlet , Spurs have now made contact with both the club and the player over a potential bid of their own. The north London club are currently in the midst of an injury crisis, with striker the latest player to be ruled out.

Wissa’s ability to play either up front or out wide is likely to appeal to as he looks to address his side’s alarming league form. As it stands, only 21-year-old goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky has come in during this window, with previous first choice Guglielmo Vicario currently sidelined with an ankle fracture.

now have just five days to get a deal done, with the window closing 11pm on Monday, February 3. And in all likelihood they will need to significantly raise Forest’s figure for Brentford to consider accepting.

Frank signed the forward from Lorient in 2021 after the club won promotion from the Championship, for a sum of around £8.5m. He’s gone on to play 133 times under the Dane, scoring 41 times.

And after learing of the Forest bid, his manager was dismissive of a potential sale. “I would say ‘good luck’ and that transfer won’t happen,” he said.

On Wednesday, boss Postecoglou did admit he was targeting late signings in the window. However, he stopped short of naming specific targets and also warned there were no guarantees his club would get signings over the line.

Don’t miss…

“Traditionally the last few days of any window tend to be pretty frenetic. I expect us to be involved in that,” he said. “Does that mean anything will get concluded?

“I can’t commit to that (answer). I’m a bit of a distance from it but the information and dialogue I have is we’re exploring all the opportunities to see if we can bring some help in with the finances.”
