Lorraine Kelly slams ‘nutter’ Wynne Evans in shock on-air rant about Strictly scandal

has branded a “nutter” as she shared her thoughts on the explosive scandal.

During Wednesday’s visit (January 29) to the studios, the Scottish host, 65, introduced her daytime show on the breakfast show .

The mum-of-one took a more sombre tone as she discussed the upcoming segments on her hour-long show which included the strictly scandal that unfolded on tour.

She revealed how the chats came after opera singer Wynne was axed from the live concert date after his sexual jibe towards It Takes Two presenter Janette Manrara, 41.

Reports have since surfaced that the 53-year-old is fighting to save his GoCompare job and travel show after he was pulled from the tour and his hosting gig.

On Tuesday (January 28), Wynne broke his silence on being booted off the tour and told fans: “I’ve agreed with the that I’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing.

“I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection. Apologies to those I won’t get to see at the remaining performances and I’m grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support they have given me.”

Now, the broadcasting veteran has given her take and said he “has” to take a break from his professional duties and “think about what he’s done.”

She continued: “I thought, ‘Come on, I just don’t get it, I don’t know why you would think that’. What kind of person says that anyway, but what kind of nutter does that when they are being filmed?

“It’s bad enough to think it but then say it, I don’t know, I don’t understand. I am baffled.” Later on, as she discussed the incident on her daytime show, she branded Wynne as a “complete clown.”

Wynne let slip his cruel remark at the start of the Strictly live tour before pulling out of the Glasgow performance, citing an ankle injury. The singer was heard suggesting a threesome with mum-of-one Janette, using the derogatory term “spit roast”.

It came at a photocall to launch the Strictly live tour, when the GoCompare singer reportedly made a suggestive face at actor as Janette moved between them – which is when he allegedly made the joke.

He has since issued an apology, with and Strictly Live producers adding: “We have made it clear to Wynne we do not tolerate such behaviour on tour.” At te time, Janette’s spokeswoman said she had been “unaware of this comment.”

The dad-of-two is no stranger to a TV scandal. He previously came under fire in last year’s Strictly series when his dance partner Katya Jones was seen pushing his hand off her waist, but they dismissed it as a joke.
