BBC breaks silence on future of Wynne Evans show with Joanna Page after Strictly tour exit

The BBC has addressed the future of ‘s travel show with Joanna Page following his dramatic exit from the Strictly Live arena tour.

The Welsh opera singer has taken “time out” from his radio show and the tour to “prioritise my wellbeing.” It comes after it emerged that he had made a that was deemed sexually inappropriate during a photo call.

In a statement given to Express Online, they referred to the schedule. Wynne and Joanna’s travel show All At Sea is still expected to go ahead next Monday (February 3). The first episode aired on January 27, and the series consists of six episodes.

The 53-year-old opera singer – best known for appearing in the GoCompare adverts – participated in the dance competition last year alongside Katya Jones.

On Tuesday evening, he penned on : “I’ve agreed with the that I’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing.

“I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection.

“Apologies to those I won’t get to see at the remaining performances and I’m grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support they have given me.”

Before the UK tour started in Birmingham, poked fun at judge Craig Revel Horwood, sharing some lighthearted backstage banter.

Wynne quipped: “It’s fun, you know, it’s just real fun, it’s absolute entertainment. Craig [who is a judge] is as rude as ever. He called me right yesterday, and he said that I was stompy and flat-footed. Right?”

A spokesperson for Studios said: “We were not previously aware of the remark and did not receive any complaints.

“We have made it very clear to Wynne that we do not tolerate such behaviour on the tour.”
