The Chase viewers were left disgruntled with one contestant’s approach in the latest instalment of the popular quiz show, as she encouraged her fellow players to aim high despite choosing a lower offer herself. Host Bradley Walsh welcomed new contestants on Tuesday (January 28), all eager to win a substantial cash prize.
However, after Nathan, the first player, was swiftly eliminated by chaser Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, the team’s morale took a hit.
When it was Olivia’s turn to face the chaser, she opted for a cautious £1,000 over the £4,000 she had accumulated in the cashbuilder round. Yet, despite her conservative choice, Olivia didn’t hesitate to urge her teammates, Martyn and Micheala, to pursue the higher amounts.
This inconsistency baffled both the chaser and viewers alike. In response, a bemused Mark retorted: “How can you say that?”

Later in the show, Michela and Martyn wowed the audience with their stellar performances, ensuring their spots in the final. With a hefty £12,000 up for grabs, the three remaining contestants had everything to play for.
