A woman was left stunned after making a spine-chilling discovery under the floorboards of her 250 year old . user, Haunted Amelia shared a video of her finding, first explaining how she stumbled upon it.
She pointed her camera to the loose floorboard and said: “I noticed that there was nothing holding this floorboard down so when you walk on it, it rattles a lot.” Her curiosity led her to lift the board to see if she could secure it back in place.
However, when she shone her torch underneath, she was shocked to find a mysterious object buried in the rubble. Initially, Amelia found an Edward VII 1904 , but as she brushed away the dust, she uncovered what seemed to be a gold-coloured book hidden under more boards.
“It’s filthy,” she exclaimed after successfully extracting it. Puzzled, she asked: “How long do you reckon it has been there? It’s definitely a book, but they’re not actual pages – they’re really thick.”
Leaving her followers in suspense, Amelia concluded by saying she would need to clean it before opening it. She added in a caption: “I found other things like old nails and old paper. I’m tempted to look and see if I can find anything else! I’m left with a lot of questions like why was this hidden there in the first place? For those who are worried, I DID wear a mask when I did this. But the dust was getting in my eyes which wasn’t fun.”

Amelia’s find sent into a frenzy, amassing a staggering 8.3 million views from users eager to see its contents. Five days after the initial reveal, she returned to her platform, admitting: “I have been feeling uneasy ever since I found it. Should I see if anything else is hidden?”
In her follow-up video, meanwhile, Amelia shared: “It seemed like a normal book at the start filled with old portraits – but things took a creepy turn as I went further into the book.” She was shocked to find an ancient photo of her own house, followed by a series of unsettling images of empty rooms with a recurring dark shadow.
The chilling find led her to wonder: “But then the pictures took an unsettling turn – the rest of the album is filled with pictures of empty rooms – a dark shadow appears in all of these photos. I can’t help but think what else is buried under the floorboards.”

users were quick to speculate on the eerie album, with one suggesting: “What if by opening the book you have released what was being held in the photos?” Another user added to Amelia’s unease, penning: “The last page, if you don’t focus, looks like a boy in like a newborn type hat.”
A third tried to rationalise the find: “It might be showing them building the house or when they took it over. Looks like some family story of sorts. Very interesting find.” Whilst a fourth person proposed a haunting theory: “When you unburied it it looks as if the house was built on top of ashes, as if it burned down and was rebuilt.”
Attempting to reassure Amelia, however, one individual reasoned: “Zero happening there, the dark shadows are just from the age and possibly being buried.” Moreover, a second person elaborated on the item’s history, claiming: “It’s a vintage postage book, I have one with some incredible dates and pictures.”
