GB News star fumes ‘let’s have an adult conversation’ in fiery politician clash

aired a furious clash this week as presenter Camilla Tominey argued with chairman Zia Yusuf.

Things turned fiery on the news channel during a discussion about the sentencing of , the attacker who killed three young girls last year.

Camilla wanted an answer on whether Rudakubana was treated differently due to the colour of his skin, addressing the issue: “It’s a difficult one because the parents had assimilated, they’d joined a Christian church, they were members of the community, they both worked in the community.

“Do you think that people had a hands-off approach first of all because he was Black, is that what you’re thinking?”

Yusuf replied: “I think the whole of the Prevent programme has been a failure-“ but Camilla interrupted him to say: “Can you just, sorry, excuse me, can you answer my specific questions? Because you’re saying a lot… let’s have an adult conversation about this. We don’t shy away from these issues on GB News.”

She then repeated: “Do you think he was handled with kid gloves because he was Black?”

“I think it was handled with kid gloves, and that’s your phrase, because the government was afraid and I think would have been afraid that had the horrific details of this attack been public at the time it might have led to civil unrest,” he responded.

Camilla wasn’t happy as she repeated: “It’s still not clear. Do you think he was handled with kid gloves because he was Black, or indeed autistic?

“My question specifically is do you think they handled this differently because the teenager at the time involved was a Black person?”

Yusuf evaded the question once more – insisting only that the government should stop “infantilising” the British public.
