Walker completed a medical with Milan on Thursday, before putting pen to paper on a temporary deal.
The transfer includes an option for the Serie A giants to buy the 34-year-old at the end of the campaign.
According to , Walker’s wife was due to fly out to Italy on Friday but had to postpone her trip until the following day.
However, she reportedly changed her mind following a row with Walker over the future plans of the player’s former mistress Lauryn Goodman, who is the mother of two of his children.
Friends of the Walker family are reportedly concerned that Lauryn will follow the England international to Italy. And a source told the publication: “Annie was supposed to go on Friday but Storm Eowyn put it back until Saturday.
“Then a row over Lauryn and her future plans blew up and Annie did a full 180. She was also p***ed off he flew his friends out before her. So she went on a girls’ night out and posted the pictures as a big ‘f*** you.’

“Annie still expects to join him and says it’s to keep the family together, but they are still very much heading towards a divorce.
“There are those around them that think the distance between them at the moment is the best thing all round. Kyle already seems a lot happier in Italy.”
Another source said: “Annie has made it clear to friends she is making the move to Italy for the sake of her family, telling them, ‘I’m doing it for the boys.’”

They added: “It’s been a traumatic 12 months and they now just want to put it behind them and attempt to lead some sort of normal existence for a while.
“Annie is still intent on going through with the divorce, which Kyle won’t oppose. But the longer they remain together, the more chance they have of eventually reconciling against the odds.”
Walker didn’t feature for his new club at the weekend as AC Milan secured a 3-2 victory over Parma. But he could be handed his debut for the Italian side when they host Inter Milan in Serie A on Sunday.
He will miss his team’s Champions League clash with Dinamo Zagreb in midweek as he isn’t eligible to play in the competition.
