Experts at , a luxury garden room provider, have found that storing textiles and soft items such as old clothing, and plush furniture poses grave risks.
These items are susceptible to rot and dampness, which can lead to a shed mould infestation, and increase the likelihood of garden pests.
Failure to remove these vulnerable items could result in hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds in damages.
With set to bring strong winds and heavy rain across the UK, the risk of damage to your shed and its contents is even greater.
Other commonly stored items that should be avoided due to safety concerns in winter include:

These are highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations and can separate or become damaged because of this.
In subzero temperatures, they can freeze, and the humid conditions inside a shed increase the risk of cans exploding due to internal pressure, leading to a messy and destructive situation.

These items can react dangerously to changes in temperature and humidity, sometimes releasing toxic fumes and corroding shed material.
