TalkTV star confirms future on show after horror hospital dash

star Peter Cardwell has confirmed his future on the channel after being rushed to hospital.

The TV and radio host, who works alongside the likes of on the network, confessed he collapsed during a visit to the GP and had to be rushed to A&E.

He told fans online: “Thanks to everyone in touch about my health. Bit of drama yesterday at the GP where I collapsed and was brought to A&E in an ambulance; many tests, drips etc.

“Docs told me to rest for a week, so I’m hopefully back on air on Weds 29th. and @TalkTV colleagues have been great.”

Now he’s issued another update, alongside a sweet snap of him under a blanket with his cat snuggling on his chest. Peter wrote: “Thanks for all the good wishes. On the sofa with my best buddy Jack and on the mend, I think. Plan to be back on @TalkTV in a week.”

Peter confessed he hasn’t been well since , telling fans four days before his collapse: “I haven’t felt properly well physically since Christmas Day and been battling through in a very Silly Man/’l’m Not Ill’ sort of way.

“Today a wall of flu-like symptoms have downed me. I’m not broadcasting again until at least Tuesday, to rest and recover. (Mental health all good).”

Fans have been wishing the anchor well, with one writing: “Oh, take it easy Peter. Bedrest is the only way with these things. Get well soon!”

Someone else agreed: “I think you worked far too many long shifts after Christmas Peter. Get well soon! You will be missed this weekend.”

Peter presents on the Talk network Fridays from 4pm to 7pm, Saturdays from 10am to 1pm and Sundays from 10am to 1pm.
