, TV personality and farming enthusiast, is in hot water with supporters over his eye-watering £200 pie charge.

The former presenter, who opened the doors to his Cotswold tavern The Farmer’s Dog last year, has witnessed the establishment quickly becoming a beloved spot. Situated next to the pub is his farm shop, which recently prompted an user to air their shock at the steep prices.

An reviewer operating under the name, The Skeptics Take, uploaded a video during a visit to the farm shop, criticising “You pay £2 to park in a muddy field, and choose from the array of overpriced souvenirs that will end up in your bin. Like this bl**** candle, for £22,” while surveying the farm store offerings.

However, it was the cost of the pies that really turned heads. Capturing footage of a massive pie on display, they zoomed in on the price tag that stated: “Extra extra large made to order £199.99.”

The voiceover sarcastically observed, “Enough pie to throw at your neighbour for £200,” The clip continued to reveal a further pricing shock; “a litre of non-organic milk for £6.10, including the bottle,” from Clarkson’s renowned outlet, reports .

Social media has been buzzing with comments from baffled fans, as one questioned: “Is it seriously £200 for a pie?!”

After seeing the video, one Oxfordshire man added: “I am wondering how they can justify prices like that. Can’t imagine there being any takers.”

Despite the criticism, many rallied in support of Jeremy.

One supporter penned: “I’ve been to the shop several times and love it! Yes it’s expensive but so are so many other things (don’t get me started on Disney). It’s fun, live a little!”

Another pleased patron shared: “Couple of us took a Ride up from Bristol, It’s a great route through the Cotswolds and the pub itself did great food (Had the Longview burger) on a summers day with the views the garden have it would be a great place to chill with a few beers.”

It comes after it was previously announced his Diddly Squat Farm Shop was temporarily closed until March 2025 – which is a regular occurence for the establishment.

At the beginning of the month, Jeremy penned to his eight million X followers: “While it’s true that the farm shop at Diddly Squat is closed as usual until March, the farm shop at the Farmer’s Dog is very much open.

“This closure is normal and has been the case in previous years. You can still shop Diddly Squat products at The Farmer’s Dog pub which is back open as usual now.”

Meanwhile, Jeremy opened up about an incident earlier this year when the celebrity was compelled to caution patrons at his new pub after a spate of thefts threatened the establishment’s survival in a huge blow.

In an article for The Times, he disclosed that the cost of stolen glasses was running into thousands, making profitability challenging.

He wrote: “The scale of the theft is staggering. Patrons seem to believe they’re entitled to take home the glass their pint was served in.”

“Last Sunday 104 went missing. And that cost must be added to the £100 a day we spend on fuel for the generator, the £400 a week it costs to provide warmth on the terrace and the £27,000 a month we must spend on parking and traffic marshals to keep the council off our back,” he lamented.
