Logan Paul had a brilliant comeback for after the Irish fighter threatened him and his younger brother Jake in Washington.
The Irishman was spotted sitting behind the Paul brothers, next to their mother, Pam Stepnick, en route to ‘s inauguration on Monday. McGregor has been linked with fights with both siblings, as well as another YouTube boxer in KSI, but no deal has been agreed.
On Wednesday, Logan posted a video on his official YouTube channel titled ‘Face to Face with Conor McGregor’. The ex-dual-weight UFC champion was recorded telling the American stars: “This is the real deal, you know that bro. We’ll do it. We can do what? 190, 195lbs? [Jake] was sick. He was sick over it! ” These remarks seemed to baffle the pair, but the drama didn’t stop there. Later in the video, McGregor says: “Listen, here’s the deal. I’m going to slap the head off the two of you and KSI. “You are nixers to me. Do you understand that? Side jobs.”
Known for his trash-talk, the Irishman didn’t faze Logan, who is currently making waves in the WWE world, and he had a savage response. The 29 year old fighter couldn’t resist taking a swipe at Conor McGregor, mocking his absence from the UFC, “You can’t even do your main job,” he chuckled. “How are you going to do a side job?”
Since breaking his leg in a bout with Dustin Poirier in 2021, McGregor has been on the sidelines. Despite being lined up to fight former Bellator champion Michael Chandler, another injury derailed those plans. With almost four years since his last competitive match, there’s speculation that McGregor is plotting a comeback this year. In a surprising twist, he expressed interest in a boxing match with Logan.
Sources last month claimed ‘The Notorious’ was negotiating this spectacle. McGregor clarified on X – the platform previously known as Twitter – debunking rumours of a fight with Topuria and confirming preliminary talks for an exhibition against Logan Paul in India, stating, “The rumours of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”
The potential blockbuster bout between Conor McGregor and ‘The Maverick’ could rake in a staggering $250million for the pair. Yet, UFC president Dana White has quashed rumours of McGregor’s return to boxing, stating emphatically, “Eventually,” when probed about the 36 year old’s UFC comeback in 2025. He added, “No no [he won’t fight KSI or Logan Paul]. I’m hoping that Conor McGregor will return in the fall.”
