According to a brief Disney+ synopsis: “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is an animated series that follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we’ve ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.”
Set in a divergent timeline from the MCU and preceding the events of Captain America: Civil War, the animated series explores Peter’s evolution as a hero under the guidance of Norman Osborn (voiced by Colman Domingo). Given Osborn’s dual identity as the Green Goblin, questions arise about his trustworthiness and the implications for Spider-Man’s backstory.
The show also promises to introduce Peter Parker donning an array of new special suits and interacting with fresh characters distinct from the main MCU. Jeff Trammell takes the helm as head writer, with Mel Zwyer overseeing as supervising director.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is a 10-episode series, with the first two episodes set to debut on Wednesday, January 29.
The show will roll out multiple episodes weekly. Episodes three to five are slated for Wednesday, February 5, followed by episodes six to eight on February 12, culminating in the final two episodes on February 19.
