The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is back with a slightly new square design, including new rounded camera designs and a more consistent look across its S25 series of phones. In terms of the internals, you can expect the new Snapdragon Gen 8 Elite which is said to deliver better battery life across the board which is alreadyan improvement on the S24 Ultra’s stellar battery life.
Samsung also claims that the new chipset is 37% faster in terms of CPU and 30 per cent faster on the GPU – but we will wait for benchmarks to see.

One of the coolest changes (in our opinion, anyway) is the new Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass, which is said to be even more scratch-resistant. Samsung also claims that alongside the added protection, you also get better clarity and reduce annoying reflections when you encounter direct sunlight.
Software seems to be the big play this year for Samsung and AI was another big part of the reveal (like it is with all modern smartphone at the moment) with the S25 Ultra keeping those useful features but adding a few more into the mix. These include a new Generative Fill tool that will be upgraded with a new language model.
Much of the new software is now being baked into the new One UI 7 platform which allows many of these new AI features to work as well as add a snazzy new look to the device.
There’s a new “Now Bar”, which gives you a snapshot of the day, including the weather and upcoming events. “AI Select” is another new feature which allows you to select something on the screen and allow you to decide what to do with it – by either summarising a document or creating a GIF from a YouTube video.
Samsung has also improved some other parts of the phone, including the Circle to Search function, including a voice search function when you want to find specific videos with people or locations within them.
