presenter Alex Armstong revealed he would be stepping back from his role in an emotional statement on social media.
The political reporter is regularly seen on the channel for reports, but came into a main presenting role for a few weeks.
Alongside a collage of snapshots from his TV appearances, the broadcaster penned: “Thank you all for your amazing support while I ran a full stint of presenting on @GBNEWS over the last couple of weeks.”
Alex shared that the experience was a “Huge learning curve for me,” adding: “So thank you for sticking around, and I hope you enjoyed watching!”
The political commentator was inundated with well-wishes from viewers and his colleagues, including GB News star Paula London, who wrote: “You should be so proud!”
A fan commented: “I thought you did very well and you have a bright future.”
