Two people have been killed and others seriously injured in stabbing attack in a park in Aschaffenburg, a city in Bavaria.
A police spokesman said the casualties included a child and three adults, reports.
The incident, described as a “violent crime” by Police Unterfranken, happened at Schöntal Park at approximately 11:45 this morning.
One suspect has been arrested, local media previously reported two, and the area has been cordoned off.

Police urge witnessed to come forward
The police are urging witnesses to come forward either via phone or to visit a police station.
The statement read: “We ask anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the police emergency number 110 or a police station.
“We are currently preparing a portal that you can use to send us your relevant pictures and videos. As soon as it is available, we will publish the associated link.”
‘No danger to the public’, says police
In a statement the police assured locals that “there is no danger to the public” and to “refrain from speculation”.
The statement read: “According to the current situation, a knife attack occurred in Schöntal Park at around 11:45 a.m., in which two people were fatally injured.
“The suspect was arrested in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene.
“Please refrain from speculation. We will report as soon as we have confirmed information.
“The area around the crime scene is still cordoned off. One person is in police custody.
“There are no indications of other suspects. There is no danger to the public.”
Rail traffic in the city suspended
Schöntal Park is currently cordoned off and rail traffic in the city area has also been temporarily suspended.
There are no indications of other suspects, according to the police.
