is one of Britain’s most loved sitcoms, and it graced our screens for over a decade before ending in 2018. Many famous faces have appeared in the ITV series over the years, and one star has revealed exactly how much he was paid.
If you cast your mind back to series five, Asa Elliot played the role of a cabaret singer at the infamous Solana Hotel. He appeared in six of the seven episodes and disclosed to how much his paycheck was.
“So in that series I appeared in six out of the seven episodes and I got paid quite a lot more than my first appearance, which was two years earlier in the Christmas special,” he revealed.
“For that, I got paid £750 – that was just for one scene.”
He continued: “When I went out for series five I was there for the long run for the whole series. So when I initially went to Spain to start filming, it was agreed I was going to get paid £4,000.”
