Stacey Solomon’s two sons set to appear in soap as fans say same thing

Stacey Solomon’s eldest children, Zachary and Leighton, have secured roles in the popular Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.

The show’s official page sent fans into a frenzy on Tuesday (January 21) when it posted behind-the-scenes photos of the boys on set.

The images showed the boys filming both inside and outside Price Slice, along with a video clip of them acting alongside soap veterans Jennifer Metcalfe, Charlie Wernham, Charlie Clapman and Dawn Hope.

In one scene, Zachary, playing a Parcel Patrons worker, is seen bumping into Mercedes, portrayed by Jennifer, while delivering a package to the shop.

Meanwhile, Leighton appears as a tardy paper boy, receiving a scolding from Pearl Anderson, played by Dawn, who says: “Oh Leighton, what time do you call this to be collecting papers? I’ll be having a word with your mother. Go on.”

It’s unclear whether these roles are a one-off or if more scenes featuring the duo are planned, but the social media post has certainly stirred up excitement among fans.

One fan commented: “Aww Stacey’s kids so lovely to see them on my favourite show.” Another wrote: “Welcome to Hollyoaks family.”, reports the Mirror.

A third exclaimed: “Omg it’s @staceysolomon pickles.” Another surprised viewer said: “I wasn’t expecting Stacey Solomon’s kids on here.”

Stacey, who shares Zachary with ex-boyfriend Dean Cox and Leighton with former fiancé Aaron Barnham, has yet to comment on her sons’ new roles, although she was tagged in the post.

Soap enthusiasts will recall that Stacey’s spouse, Joe Swash, portrayed the beloved character Mickey Miller in from 2003 to 2008, with guest appearances in 2011 and as recently as 2024. The couple have three children together: Rex, Rose, and Belle. Additionally, Joe has a son named Harry from a previous relationship.

Hollyoaks airs Monday to Wednesday on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 from 7am
