celebrated his birthday with a low-key affair at his parents’ house as the darts world champion finally turned 18 this week.

The darts star snubbed the and instead opted for an intimate family dinner at their home in Warrington.

Littler’s dad, Anthony Buckley, was spotted making a quick trip to their local chippy, Castlerise Fish & Chips, in Runcorn to pick up a takeaway for the family.

The taxi driver was pictured collecting a bag of food while proudly donning his ‘Nuke’ branded hoodie, referencing the darts sensation’s nickname.

But it wasn’t his usual dish that they went for. Littler has previously revealed his preferred choice of cuisine is a kebab wrap with doner meat, lettuce, onion and mayonnaise, complimented by a side portion of chips and a can of fizz.

Back at home, Littler was making the most of his downtime by hosting a live stream while playing the popular football video game EA FC 25.

The youngster’s stream was viewed by 3,500 fans at its peak and he posted video footage onto his page for his 686,000 followers to follow along.

His birthday offered the opportunity to take a well-earned break from the arrows after a busy 2024 in which he won the , Grand Slam and World Series Finals.

His parents, Anthony and Lisa, have been there every step of the way as their son dominated at the oche. This was in part due to the fact he was underage, meaning Littler needed to be accompanied by an adult at tournaments.

But that’s no longer the case now he is a fully-fledged adult, having turned 18 on January 21, although nothing will stop his devoted parents from watching him in action.

Littler owes much of his success to his parents after his dad persuaded him to swap football for darts at the age of nine.

It’s a decision that has paid off handsomely, with the teenager already banking well over £1million in prize money in the space of 13 months.

They joined him at the Sports Personality of the Year Award ceremony in December, and they shared an emotional embrace before he stepped up to collect the runner-up prize on stage.

The Warrington thrower won the PDC World Championship earlier this month after beating Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in front of a packed crowd at Alexandra Palace.

In doing so, he landed a huge £500,000 payday – the biggest of his career – to take his earnings to £1.18m and ranking his second in the world, according to the PDC Order of Merit.

After taking some time out to enjoy being a teenager and blowing out the candles on the cake, ‘The Nuke’ will be back in action at the Dutch Darts Masters, which begins on January 24.
