A man was walking his dog near Rosedale subway station on Tuesday when a man wearing a blue surgical mask attacked the dog, police said

A masked man wielding two knives attacked a dog in a park near Toronto’s tony Rosedale neighbourhood, stabbing the pet multiple times before fleeing, police said.

Toronto police said a man was walking his dog at Yonge Street and Ramsden Park Road, near Rosedale subway station, at 4:11 p.m. Tuesday when a man wearing a blue surgical mask attacked the dog.

The dog was “taken to vet hospital (with) multiple stab wounds,” police said on the X social media site.

The suspect was described as a six-foot Black man wearing a black puffy jacket and jeans.
