According to the Vancouver police, the shooting took place just before 7 a.m. on Jan. 17, 2023, inside the West Hotel, near Carrall and East Hastings streets.
Thunder Dennis, 20, was fatally shot.
On Tuesday, major crime investigators announced a suspect had been arrested.
Jorge Marquez Medina, 67, is charged with one count of second-degree murder. He remains in custody.
