If you’re sick of using loads of products to up your home, with an abundance of different sprays for different rooms, it may be time to stop and just take a look in your kitchen cupboard and use two common staples instead.
This means that you’re using way less chemicals, and your home can still be as squeaky clean as you normally do.
Caroline, who posts on as @neat.caroline said that “you can clean your home with only two ingredients,” as she strongly believes in “non-toxic living”.
She said that her favourite ingredients to use are “dish soap, and ” and you probably have both of them in your home at the minute.
If not, you can get both . Washing-up liquid can be purchased from some retailers for about 69p, and vinegar can be purchased from Tesco at 35p.

She then advised where you should be using both of the products. “Clean glass, stainless steel and mirrors with equal parts vinegar and water,” she shared.
She then showed how clean her mirror glass was after she’d sprayed and wiped down the product.
Caroline then recommended that you can “clean countertops including marble, wood floors, surfaces and walls with a tablespoon of dish soap and two cups of water”. Again, she showed off the immediate results, and they looked as good as new.
In the comments, people who had already ditched many of their cleaning products and opted for this method praised it.
“I live by this, it works so well. I’ve not used it on the floor though, but I’ve got my friend into it as well,” someone wrote.
Another said that “vinegar smells so bad,” and someone reassured them that the “smell goes after about 20 minutes” so it’s worth still giving it a go and sticking with it if you want alternatives to strong chemicals.
“I love this and it’s amazing how many uses there are for vinegar,” a cleaning fan praised. While someone else gushed: “I grew up in a messy home and your videos have made me feel so comfortable keeping my own space clean. Thank you for your content!” somebody gushed.
