Donald Trump reinstates Winston Churchill’s bust to Oval Office after Biden removal

has brought back a bust of to a table in the Oval Office as he returned to the White House to begin his second term as President.

The Republican has redecorated the room and a photograph put out by the Wall Street Journal yesterday shows the bronze bust of the former British Prime Minister has been reinstated on a side table on the right of his fireplace.

The cast, by British-American sculptor Sir Jacob Epstein, was gifted to the US by the British Government in 2001 and placed in the Oval Office by then Commander-in-Chief, George W. Bush.

Speaking to the Express ahead of the move, Reform UK leader and Trump ally said: “Is going to return the Winston Churchill bust to the Oval Office? Good Lord, yes. On day one? Of course he is. Don’t be ridiculous. And that says it all.”

The MP for Clacton also branded him “the most pro-British president since Einsenhower”.

He added: “We’ve got somebody who is very, very much his mother’s son.”

Trump has also decided to bring back his “Diet Coke button”, which prompts White House staff to bring him the fizzy drink at a moment’s notice.
