“I mean I can’t see you right now so I don’t know what you look like,” Kid Rock replied, while smoking a cigar. The broadcaster remained professional as she attempted to get things back on track.
She laughed: “Well, I look like I’m ready to hit the slopes, I can tell you. I’m in full-on ski gear here with my hat, gloves and the whole thing, ready to rock because you have to be wrapped up against the elements, don’t you.”
It was at this point that the singer shocked viewers when he commented: “I love to go skiing, you sound sexy actually. Do you want to go with me?”
The 44-year-old journalist was left utterly gobsmacked by his proposal, taking a few seconds to compose herself. She calmly replied: “Well, we won’t get into that right here. We’re doing no skiing today, we’ve got a broadcasting to do.
“But Kid Rock, thank you so much for joining us here on News. Enjoy your day.” It didn’t take long before viewers flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to unpack the uncomfortable scenes, with many slamming the interview online.
