This Morning chaos as Cat Deeley forced to step in after accident live on air

Cat Deeley was quick to react when an unexpected incident occurred on the ITV This Morning set.

The 48-year-old presenter, along with her co-host and a group of adorable Golden Retriever puppies, were trying to lift viewers’ spirits on ‘Blue Monday’.

However, one of the dogs couldn’t wait for the ad break and relieved itself live on air. Ben handed Cat a tissue, jokingly saying: “There you go.”

Unfazed, Cat quipped: “Where there is puppies, there is poop.” Ben then teased his co-host, saying: “There you go Deeley, that’s my line,” as he pointed to the floor, adding: “That’s yours”.

As Cat began to clean up, the guilty puppy looked ready for round two, but she quickly intervened, repeating: “No, no. no.”

Amidst laughter, Ben instructed: “Get the poo,” to which Cat replied: “I’ve got it, I’ve got it.”

With the mess safely wrapped in tissue, she reassured everyone: “We’re good, there you go.”

A visibly uncomfortable Ben asked: “What are you doing with it? ” Unperturbed, Cat responded: “I’m going to hold on to it until we’ve finished the link.”

In a playful mood, Ben cheekily suggested: “Can’t we give it to Marcus? ,” inviting the chef to join in the slightly chaotic morning antics. Cat dismissed the idea, saying: “I can’t because he’s making bread as Ben retorted:”He can wash his hands.”

Marcus stepped in to help the former SMTV host, taking the tissue from her as she reminded him to “wash his hands” before preparing their food later.

Meanwhile, viewers on platform X voiced their displeasure at the unfolding pandemonium. One user commented: “How disgusting is Cat she didn’t even wash her hands after picking that dog s*** up #ThisMorning.

Another viewer posted on the same platform, formerly known as Twitter: “Can we just have cute puppies s******g on rugs everyday please instead of Cat and Ben #thismorning. ” A third person added with confusion: “What on earth am I watching?”.
