First off, slice open the avocado and remove the stone. Immediately douse the flesh of the unused half in fresh lemon juice.

Or, for an even simpler method, halve your avocado and submerge it, cut-side down, in a glass or plastic container filled with water and stash this in the fridge.

For those who are storing their avocados in water, make sure to change the water daily for this tip to work.

According to the experts, this will keep your avocado from browning for about seven more days.

Spread your avocado on toast or toss it into a salad. Whip it up into lush by combining it with tomato, lime, coriander, onion and chilli.
