UK weather maps turn purple as 5 regions face 367-mile snow bomb

The UK will see again with five regions to be impacted and a 367-mile stretch of wintery weather.

Maps from weather forecaster WXCHARTS show some parts of the country could see as much as 1.5cm of per hour on Monday, February 3.

The most heavily impacted areas will be Scotland and the north of England.

Others are Northern Ireland, the North East, the North West and Yorkshire and the Humber.

Parts of Scotland and northern England will see between 0.2 and 2cm per hour of .

Some parts of England will see rain rather than snow with Newcastle, Manchester and parts of Wales seeing up to 1mm of rainfall per hour.

In the south of England, most areas will escape any with conditions looking largely free from rain or snow according to the maps.

The long-range forecast says: “The start of February is likely to continue on an unsettled and relatively mild theme, with periods of rain, showers and strong winds, alternating in most parts with short-lived brighter and cooler interludes.

Temperature maps show minimum temperatures will be around -5C in some parts of Scotland with lowest temperatures in England reaching 0C.

“Pressure may build across southern areas towards mid-month, which would result in longer drier and more-settled spells here, albeit with an increased chance of overnight fog and frost.”

This comes after has already caused heavy disruption to the UK in the first month of 2025.

The weather had a severe impact on trains, flights, roads and even led hundreds of schools to close.

It appears the snowy conditions are set to continue into February with this cold blast to hit on February 3.

Brits should be prepared for further disruptions which could result from the due in early February.
