star Dan Edgar admits he has “made some stupid mistakes” as he addresses rumours he cheated on Kate Ferdinand.
Dan, 34, and Kate, 33, were together when the pair featured on The Only Way Is Essex. And Kate is expected to be in the audience when Dan takes to the ice, because husband Rio Ferdinand’s brother Anton is also starring in the ITV show.
At the time of their split, Dan was accused of cheating on Kate when he kissed fellow TOWIE star Chloe Lewis. Dan however insists they locked lips after he and Kate separated.
The star says the break up wasn’t “overly bad” but admits he hasn’t spoken to Kate since. Speaking to The Sun, Dan said: “I’ve made some stupid mistakes in the past but we weren’t together at the time I kissed Chloe.

“I wasn’t emotionally mature enough back then to deal with a relationship of that longevity. It was young love.”
Dan describes their two-year on-off relationship as like being “married 30 years” and says the couple were “annoying each other”. Since then, their lives have gone in “completely different directions”.
And while Dan says he hasn’t spoken to Kate since, he says she reached out to his mum and sent a “really lovely message” after the show. The star now looks back at his previous relationships as “part of the journey”.
Although he does want to one day settle down and have a family, much like Kate does with Rio. Kate has a son with the former England captain, who also has three children from his first marriage.

Dan is currently in a relationship with Ella Rae Wise. He says the pair are “seeing how things go,” although admits there is “real chemistry” between them.
He also says many people seem to think he has “commitment issues” but admits he thinks he is just “cautious” about relationships having experienced break-ups before.
Dan will be among the famous faces taking part in Dancing on Ice from 6.30pm tonight on ITV One. The celebrities will be hoping to avoid the first elimination of the series.
