According to WXCHARTS’ maps, aided by Metdesk data, a wave of and cover much of northern England at around 6pm on January 24.
The English counties affected on this day will be: Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Durham, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and Derbyshire.
The following day, January 25, wills see the snow cover much of the UK in an area stretching from Inverness in the Scottish Highlands all the way down to the Midlands nearly as far as Birmingham – over 400 miles.
In England, this will see Staffordshire, Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire also affected by snowy weather.

Meanwhile, in Scotland, these areas will see snow on January 25 according to the forecast: Dumfries and Galloway, Scottish Borders, Ayrshire, Lanarkshire, West Lothian, Edinbugh City, Falkirk, Renfrewshire, Glasgow City, Dunbartonshire, Inverclyde, Fife, Perith and Kinross, Stirling, Argyl and Bute, Angus, Aberdeenshire, Moray, and the Highlands.
