The Radford Family is back with a brand new Channel 5 special titled 22 Kids and a Baby, which zooms in on Katie Radford’s journey to motherhood. She shares candidly about the transformative impact of pregnancy and the strain it placed on her relationship when her partner experienced a meltdown before the birth.
While Katie navigates the challenges of impending motherhood, Noel and his wife Sue embark on an unforgettable adventure to Dubai. At 22 years old, Katie welcomed her first child in October 2024, taking to to announce: “Tuesday 8th October born at 5:03PM weighing 7:11 the day you changed our lives forever little man. Mummy and daddy love you so much.”
She chose the name Ronnie Hudson Carter for her son, adopting the surname of her partner, Connor Carter. Connor shared his joy on as well, posting: “Little man finally made an appearance and we are so made up.”
Connor first graced the screen on 22 Kids and Counting in May 2022, and by two years later, he had moved into the expansive Morecambe family residence.
In May 2024, Katie revealed her pregnancy news and celebrated with a Winnie the Pooh themed baby shower in October.

Following Connor’s move into the Radford household, the couple decided to set up their own nest, likely in anticipation of baby Ronnie’s arrival.
Katie also opened up about her labour experience via Stories, confessing that despite her fears fuelled by daunting tales of childbirth, she ultimately had a positive labour experience, saying: “I was terrified for labour with all the stories people kept telling me, but honestly I had a really good labour.”
“My waters went at 11pm on the Monday and then I had him on Tuesday at 5.03pm.”
Katie also disclosed other names they pondered over. “I loved the names Zaylen, Romie, Noah and Connor wanted to call him Hudson,” she divulged.
