Napoli are pursuing Alejandro Garnacho.
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has said the club only want to sign forward Alejandro Garnacho on their ‘conditions’ after making an improved bid for the star. The Serie A side have been pursuing the Argentine in the January transfer window, after signing another United player in Scott McTominay in the summer.
Despite ongoing negotiations though, the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement for the 20-year-old, who has made 31 club appearances this season.
And now Manna has insisted Napoli will only complete a deal on their own terms.
“We are making evaluations, we must not get caught up in the frenzy,” he said. “There is expectation, we will be ready but on the conditions of Napoli.”
According to Tutto Sport, the Italian side have now made an offer in the region of £47million. That follows reports they had a lesser bid of £40m turned down this week.
The future of Garnacho has been in doubt ever since he was axed for the first-team squad for the trip to last month. It later emerged that ‘s decision was a result of the player ignoring his instructions before going on as a sub in the Europa League tie at Viktoria Plzen.
Garnacho seemingly ignored Ruben Amorim in the Czech Republic.

But unlike Marcus Rashford, who was also dropped for the derby clash and has not played a minute under Amorim since, Garnacho swiftly returned to the first-team fold. And he’s started the club’s last two games, the FA Cup win at Arsenal and the 3-1 victory against Southampton on Thursday.
