Rybakina’s tournament in doubt
Elena Rybakina survived a huge injury scare to beat Dayana Yastremska 6-3 6-4 on Saturday, needing physio treatment on her back during the match.
The former champion was still struggling as she left the court. Staff members carried her bags so she didn’t have to put them on her back.
After the match, Rybakina was asked whether her back would be alright in time for Monday’s fourth-round match and she raised doubts about her participation.
“Not really. So I will see my physio and hopefully he does some magic,” the sixth seed said.
